چکیده

This paper describes the Contract Expression Language (CEL), currently being developed at the industry consortium Content Reference Forum. The CEL is an XMLbased language designed to express contractual agreements between different parties for the purposes of capturing and communicating contractual information, and facilitating contract execution and enforcement by machines with respect to granted permissions, mandated obligations and stipulated prohibitions. In addition to modeling contractual agreements using the deontic concepts of rights, obligations and prohibitions, it has distinct features for specifying statements of intentional, factual and exclusive types, defining preference rules for resolving conflicts, and supporting lifecycles and trust management of contracts in open and distributed environments. This paper presents an overview of the CEL in terms of its data model, expressiveness and processing models, and illustrates its application in the Content Reference Framework for content distribution, and its compliance to the Business Collaboration Framework for ebusiness transactions.

Overview of the MPEG-21 Media Contract Ontology

The MPEG-21 Media Contract Ontology (MCO), a part of the standard ISO/IEC 21000, is an ontology to represent contracts dealing with rights on multimedia assets and intellectual property protected content in general. A core model provides the elements to describe the permissions, obligations and prohibitions exchanged in the clauses of a contract. Specific vocabulary is defined in a model extens...

Transcriptional regulation of the cellobiose operon of Streptococcus mutans.

The ability of Streptococcus mutans to catabolize cellobiose, a beta-linked glucoside generated during the hydrolysis of cellulose, is shown to be regulated by a transcriptional regulator, CelR, which is encoded by an operon with a phospho-beta-glucosidase (CelA) and a cellobiose-specific sugar phosphotransferase system (PTS) permease (EII(Cel)). The roles of CelR, EII(Cel) components, and cert...

Morphology, PKCδ expression, and synaptic responsiveness of different types of rat central lateral amygdala neurons.

Recent findings implicate the central lateral amygdala (CeL) in conditioned fear. Indeed, CeL contains neurons exhibiting positive (CeL-On) or negative (CeL-Off) responses to fear-inducing conditioned stimuli (CSs). In mice, these cells differ in their expression of protein kinase Cδ (PKCδ) and physiological properties. CeL-Off cells are PKCδ(+) and late firing (LF), whereas CeL-On cells are PK...

Functional microRNA is transferred between glioma cells.

MicroRNAs (miRNA) are single-stranded 17- to 27-nucleotide RNA molecules that regulate gene expression by posttranscriptional silencing of target mRNAs. Here, we transformed rat 9L gliosarcoma cells to express cel-miR-67, a miRNA that lacks homology in rat. Coculture of these cells with cells that expressed a luciferase reporter that contained a complementary sequence to cel-miR-67 resulted in ...
